The Communications desk has four tabs: RealTime, Retrieval, Symsearch, and Smartkeys. The RealTime Tab displays real-time news headlines as the arrive. News sources can be color coded: here UPI, BusinessWire Reuters, and PR Newswire have been given special colors. This can make it easier to identify important stories. The upper highligh field allows you to enter words or word snippets which will boldface a headline if it contains the snippet- greate for identifying earnings reports. Doubleclicking on a headline will retrieve the full story text.

The Retrieval page gives you acces to our indexed news database. We keep over 180 days on file, indexed by keyword and stock symbol. Search headlines or full body text, and retrieve up to 200 stories at a time. Doubleclicking a headline here will retrieve the full story text. The Symsearch page is your active cross reference to the symbol database. Use wildcards to help when you don't know the full name of a company. As with other Corona screens, the font, the background color, the page size and position can be modified by you, and your changes will be remembered during your next session.
